Charity Donations
2010 March:
Our charity donation for March was the delivery of a brand new laptop to BUILDING BLOCKS home for abandoned babies in Pinelands. This contribution will have a significant impact on their ability to manage the home when a lot of time is spent in courts facilitating adoption and foster care.
2010 February:
Bobsforgood Foundation– provided shoes for disadvantage children in the Western Cape.
2010 January:
Our January dontation went to Building Blocks in Pinelands.
2009 November & December:
We only started operating from our premises in November 2009 and thus were not able to contribute for the months of September and October, but donated supplies to 2 homes over November and December. These were Building Blocks in Pinelands – a refuge for abandoned babies awaiting adoption – and Christine Revell Children’s Home in Athlone – which looks after 50 children all under the age of 5. We hope to donate a laptop to Building Blocks in January.
2009 July & August:
July and August have passed and Soliette have made donations to 2 worthy causes. The first being an annual sponsorship at Nazareth House for a child there. The second a bursary sponsorship for a student at the University of the Western Cape.
We are very proud to be continuing our donations and thank all our loyal customers.
2009 June:
The month of June was very quiet, but we have made a donation of R2000 to the SPCA. Hope to donate to a children’s home this month. We’ll keep you posted.
2009 May:
Thanks to all our loyal customers, we have been able to make a donation of R10 000 to our first charity – in our 1st month of being open! The recipient is a 16 year old boy who urgently needs a heart operation to implant a defibrillator. He has to raise R100 000 and this donation has kickstarted the fundraising. Attached is a copy of the letter of thanks from him. You can go to www.qtsyndrome.ch to view a video clip on this condition.
Dear Lauren and Natalie,
I just wanted to say thank you for what you are doing and that it really means a lot.
The sickness I have is Long QT syndrome which is a heart disease and I have a malignant arythmia which means I pass out from heart failure. I just want to say thanks and that I really appreciate it. Thank you for raising the funds for my implanatable cardioverter defibrillator, which will control my heartbeat and shock it when it stops beating.
Take care and God bless
